To achieve the goals of the mission statement, EMI implies the following four objectives:
Objective I
To perform applied research in the areas of climate change studies, geomatics engineering, transportation system planning & design, security and emergency management systems, information technology, navigation technologies, utility system planning and design, and geodesy/geophysical studies.
Objective II
To provide consultancy services in the areas of: geomatics, transportation system planning & design, homeland security and emergency management systems, information technologies, navigation technologies, utility system planning and design, and geodesy & geophysical studies.
Objective III
To provide training programs in the areas of open source GIS, capacity building for REDD+ readiness, climate change studies, GPS, digital photogrammetry and remote sensing, GIS/LIS, QC/QA, and maintenance and security of geospatial database portals.
Objective IV
To integrate climate change studies and geospatial services with other information systems and provide turnkey solutions to clients worldwide.
